Adventures in Paper Stalking

I know that there are a millions options for stamp personalization out there for wedding invitations. I come in defense of the United Stated Postal Service...you must realize that there are so many amazing and cool stamps that will add so much character to an envelope. It is time to move beyond your standard Love stamp, use some of that coquette in you. Alright, so not everyone, like me, inspects the stamp when they receive and invitation or thank you card but how about bringing attention to that detail.

Here are some examples of amazing stamps that I think would look snazzy on an envelope and paired with some delicious calligraphy...and have people saying..."isn't so and so clever"!!!

This is the gorgeous standard Love stamp...I am really glad the USPS stepped their game up but I also know it will be on every invitation for the next 100 years

How beautiful would these be for a nautical/beach wedding...

These Vintage Black Cinema stamps offer a stunning palette of color and would be perfect for any vintage theme.

This is one of my personal favorites. Who would not swoon over this stunning stamp. I used these on my Bridal Shower thank you cards and they made quite an impact!! Thank you...Edgar!

I am not going to lie...I would LOVE to get me some Homer mail!!!

Be sure to take advantage of coordinating stamps to cover additional postage. Layer then and color coordinate them....get all Martha on those envelopes!!

These are some pics of the stamps I used for my wedding invites and Bridal Shower Thank You's. They were snazzy and delicious, if I do say so myself!

Why You Need Correspondence Cards

First off...for THANKING PEOPLE!

Let's face it, lovelies...it is fresh (and not the good kind of fresh) to not send a thank you note in a timely manner. Thanking people for their generosity is very important, texts or emails are not sufficient and yes, you can make a phone call but taking the time to write a special message and acknowledge someone speaks volumes. If you always have correspondence cards handy, the excuse of " I have not gotten to the store to get thank you notes." is null and void. You will always be prepared for unexpected gifts, random acts of kindness and even go that extra mile and thank someone for their hospitality.

Secondly, for any occasion cards in a pinch!

Ever had a gift all wrapped and realize you have no card? Well you will always have a presentable card on which you can write any message with correspondence cards. They will love your fabulous gift and be so impressed by your snazzy correspondence card. Win/Win in my book!

Thirdly, who can resist...they are just so perfectly adorable!!

Adventures in Paper Stalking

In my wedding planning endeavors, this was the only invitation designer that made me rethink my whole letterpress obsession. These designs knocked my bridal socks off and I was torn. The colors and creativity, I could hardly deal with the fact that I was cheating on my beloved letterpress. In the end my letterpress won but now I have the extra time and cash flow to think up of a million reasons why I need all of the pieces in this shop.

So lovelies stop by Enfin, Le Voila! and knock your bridal socks off!

The Much Needed Revival of the Calling Card

The calling card was a rite of passage, like getting your first car. It said, " Hello World, I have arrived and I have the documentation to prove it." Calling involved enormous ritual, a calling card was your first impression and often the deciding factor of whether or not you were "received".

Well, being that this kind of tradition makes me swoon, I am lobbying for the revival of the calling card. Although, the thought of making people I deem to be social miscreants wait in my cramped small hallway to be announced makes me giggle, the concept really should be updated. This is a very charming way to introduce yourself as the new MR. & MRS., a small, gorgeous little card printed with your names and contact info can be tucked into wedding thank you cards. When meeting new married couples, think of the impression you will make if when it is suggested you exchange info, you are armed with a darling married couple calling card! They can't help but think, "Now, that is a couple I want to be friends with!"

They can be formal, modern or romantic. They can have monograms or motifs. They just should always be charming! LONG LIVE THE CALLING CARD!
